Information for Graduates - Graduation Day
Registration & Formation of Graduate Procession
- Report punctually in your graduation attire to your assigned venue.
- You must have your identification card (NRIC/Student card) with you.
- Hold your identification card on hand. You will need to scan it at the scanning station. It is imperative to have your identification card with you. Graduands without an identification card will not be allowed to graduate on stage.
- Sit according to your assigned seat number. Any change will upset the order of procession.
- The Graduate Procession will promptly proceed to the auditorium 15 minutes after the reporting time. Latecomers will not be allowed to join the Graduate Procession.
- As the graduation ceremony is a dignified occasion, graduands are required to observe proper decorum, stay seated in the auditorium throughout the entire ceremony and to dress appropriately for the occasion. Graduands found to be improperly dressed will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony.
Presentation of Diploma
- You will be ushered to the scanning station where you will scan your identification card before taking your position on stage.
- Keep your identification card immediately after scanning and stay in that queue order as any change will upset the presentation order.
On Stage
- Follow the marking on stage and wait for your name to be read at Position X.
- When your name is read, proceed to Position Y (marked on stage) to receive your graduation folder from your Director. Remember to receive the folder and tilt your head slightly towards the audience. An official photographer has been engaged to take
photographs.
- Photographs taken at the event may be used on NP's website, marketing materials and in the press. By participating in this event, you consent to NP’s photography and use of your image and likeness.
- To accord proper decorum to the Graduation Ceremony, please refrain from taking any selfies or wefies throughout the Graduation Proceedings.
- As you leave the stage, you will be given a photo order voucher which provides you with instructions on how you can order your graduation photos from the official photographer. This voucher allows you to place an order for two 5R photos and its softcopies at $5.00 (excluding a $3.50 delivery surcharge, if required).
- You will then be ushered to collect your diploma certificate and academic transcript at Level 2. Follow the ushers' instructions closely and proceed in the same order which you went on-stage as any change will upset the order of collection.
- After collection, please check that your details e.g. name, course, etc. are printed correctly. Should there be any printing error, report to the staff at the collection area (NP Convention Centre, Level 2) immediately.
- Return to your seat.
