Using Paint
- Open Paint
- Click the Paint button, click Open, click the picture you want to resize, and then click Open.
- On the Home tab, in the Image group, click Resize.
- In the Resize and Skew dialog box, select Resize By Pixels. Ensure that the Maintain aspect ratio box is unchecked (or not ticked).
- Enter a new width (215) in the Horizontal box or new height (281) in the Vertical box.
- Click the Paint button, point to Save as, and then click the picture file type (i.e. jpeg) for the resized image.
- Type a new file name in the File name box, and then click Save.
Using online tools
Several websites allow you to crop and resize pictures online. We've found the following websites to work well - but we would stress that this is an external site of which we have no control.

- Click Select Image to upload your photograph.
- Choose Dimensions to resize your photograph.
- Enter 215 pixels for width and 281 pixels for height.
- Click Resize.
- Click Download link to open your resized photograph, right-click on the photo image and save as a JPEG image format.
- Click Browse to select and upload your photograph.
- Click Continue to edit your photograph.
- Drag the crop box to classic passport photo shape and then click the Crop Selection button.
- Select Custom Size from the Resize Your Picture menu, and choose a width of 215 pixels and a height of 281 pixels.
- Save As a JPG image format.
- Click I’m Done, Resize My Picture.
- Select View mage if you want a preview of the resized photograph.
- If you wish to make further changes, select Resume Edit.
- When you are happy with the preview, select Save to Disk to save to your desktop.
- Click Choose File to browse and select your photo.
- Click Width and enter 215 pixels.
- Click Height and enter 281 pixels.
- Click Zoom (-) so that your photograph fits in the box.
- Click Resize Your Image to get a preview of the photograph.
- Click Back if you wish to make further adjustments to the photograph.
- Select Save this image when you are satisfied with the resized photograph
