Working Adults with Relevant Experience

Early Admissions Exercise

Starting from Academic Year 2021, the polytechnics will open the Early Admissions Exercise (EAE) to working adults. This is part of the broader effort to expand polytechnic admissions pathways for working adults.

You must be a Singapore citizen or permanent resident with local or other education qualification and a minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience. Local qualifications include Singapore-Cambridge GCE O' Level, Singapore Cambridge GCE 'A' Level, Full-Time Higher NITEC / NITEC, International Baccalaureate Diploma and Integrated Programme Year 4, part-time ITE qualification and WSQ diplomas. Other qualifications include SPM.

Working adults applying for EAE can view what constitutes as relevant work experience for each course here.

You can apply via the Early Admissions Exercise portal. Application for the April 2025 intake will begin from 3 June to 30 June 2024. You can choose up to three courses. You will need to submit a write-up for each selected course detailing your relevant work experience, aptitude and talents.

You will be notified during the selection stage if you are shortlisted for an interview. You will need to submit employment records together with your application, academic transcripts and employer recommendations where available. You may be required to take supplementary assessments like Numeracy or English Literacy to demonstrate that you have acquired the competency level for the chosen course.

Final selection is based on interview performance and portfolio. Check your application results in the EAE portal. If you accept the offer, you will receive an enrolment package before the Academic Year.
