Be part of our mission to extend care and help
Interested in knowing how you can go beyond and play a part in supporting your friends? Be a part of our care movement by joining Peer Helpers, NP Supportify or iCON!
Peer Helpers
Wish to support your peers when they are going through a rough patch? Join NP’s Peer Helpers network and be part of the care crew!
After completing the compulsory Health and Wellness module during your first year of study, you will participate in the Peer Helping Level 1 (L1) Training. Thereafter, under your School’s Academic Advisor’s guidance, you may be deployed as
a Peer Helper to befriend and help a peer in need.
If you feel called upon to develop this skill further, you can embark on the Peer Helping Level 2 (L2) Training. Upon completion of the L2 Training, and with at least one contribution
in organising a Peer Helper event, you will be appointed as a Peer Helper Leader.
NP Peer Helper CCA Club
Students who are keen to contribute but have yet to attend the Peer Helping Training are
welcome to join the Peer Helper CCA Club. This is where you will meet like-minded NP students who believe in the importance of creating a culture of care.
You will have the opportunity to pursue the Peer Helping L1 and L2 Training should
you wish to hone your helping skills, during which you will get exclusive opportunities to attend training programmes, conferences and events. Speak with a Peer Helper Leader to find out more!
Propose an idea to spread care

NP Supportify
NP Supportify (NPSF) is a CCA Club that was started by a group of passionate students who desired to enhance on-campus inclusivity and accessibility for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
This CCA Club supports students with SEN such as Autism, ADHD and Dyslexia by organising fortnightly “Playlist Sessions”, when members come together to share their experiences and help one another overcome different challenges. In fact, a
defining feature of NPSF as a CCA in an Institute of Higher Learning is how it has become an active engagement platform for a large number of students with SEN.
Apart from catering to the needs of students with SEN, members without
SEN join NPSF to learn more about SEN and how they can contribute to supporting this community. In the days ahead, NPSF will be collaborating with external agencies such as SG Enable to organise activities that promote inclusivity within and beyond
the NP campus.

International Connections (iCON)
Settling into a new country and school can be challenging. International Connections (iCON) was set up to provide a platform for local students to interact with international students, so that those who have left their home countries feel welcomed in Singapore and NP.
The larger aim of this programme is for students to grow to become respectful, empathetic and open-minded adults who thrive in a diverse and inclusive society.
Students get to organise and participate in events such as International Friendship
Day and Cultural Sharing sessions, where students learn about different cultural practices. iCON also offers enrichment and personal development programmes, during which students get to hone soft skills like communication and collaboration.
Interested to contribute and/or participate in iCON’s activities? Contact us today so we can get to know you better!
