This space was known for its blue and orange wooden table benches (refer to the old picture on the plaque). In Project PLAY, the wooden planks from the old tables and benches were upcycled and repurposed as furnishings to build new sets furniture. These old planks were painted in brown and then assembled with other new furniture laminated in bright yellow and blue. How many of them can you spot at this space? Initiated by the School of Design & Environment, etc.lab and Estate, Eco & Safety Office (EES), sustainability projects like this had injected liveliness and playfulness into our campus to build a more collaborative community.
